Hi Aerialists!

Congratulations on your new purchase of aerial bungee! Please thoroughly read the below information on how to care and use your new products!

Bungee install guide:

Bungee fitness is a fun and gravity defying sport for any age. To get use out of your product:

1. Ensure you have a load bearing beam. You will need to check with a builder or rigger to ensure your beam can bare weight.
2. Have a mounting point or alternative professionally installed to ensure safety
3. Ensure you have chosen the right bungee for your weight.
4. Using the daisy chains provided, attach to your mounting point. From there, use a carabiner to clip onto the daisy chains followed by a swivel, and then attach the screw lock carabiner from the bungee cord and tighten securely. Don’t attach to the hardness at this point.
5. Stand next to the cord. You want to ensure the base of the cord sits at your waist. If it is too high or low, adjust daisy chains accordingly to find the perfect height. If used in classes, this will need to be adjusted per user.
6. Place the harness on and ensure it’s tightened securely. Clip the autolock carabiner on the cord to the point on the back of the harness. Test to ensure the height is correct.

As with all equipment, there is ongoing maintenance – your safety is our absolute priority, BUT once you receive your product, the maintenance is out of our hands and up to you. It should always be your priority to care for your equipment and we can’t stress this enough – aerial sports are dangerous – PLEASE ALWAYS BE SAFE WHILE FLYING!

1. Check your fabric, hardware and rigging points before EVERY use.
It may seem over the top – but it is an important responsibility. Things to check:

• Does your cord or harness have any points that are damaged?
• Does your hardware have any cracks or damages or rust?
• Does your hardware work correctly? (Swivel spins cleanly, carabiners screw securely, etc)
• Does your sling, rope, daisy chains have any frays, splits, etc? (Especially check around rigging points where it may rub).

If any of the above, DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT! You’ll need to replace the damaged product before using.

Before physically using your bungee check:

• Is your bungee rigged and installed correctly, tightly and securely?
• Is your rigging point structurally suitable & approved by a registered builder?
• Are your rope, sling or chains attached securely and will not slip?
• Are you aware of load ratings and max loading of your bungee, attachments and your rigging point?
• Do you have an approved crash mat underneath you incase of a fall?
• Do you have another person present? (Never train alone!)
• If you are not a professional, do you have a qualified teacher overlooking your rigging and your training?

After using your bungee
• Always take them down & remove hardware after you’ve finished – even if just for a few hours! This ensures a new check when using it next time, ensures your slings or ropes or fabric doesn’t get weakened by sunlight, your products don’t get wet, rusted, etc, and guarantees you will check your product for safety before use (ie carabiners secured tightly). And also avoids others (children, friends) using your products that may not understand safety.
• Store indoors in the dry, preferably airtight to avoid mould, mildew, weather, moths, etc.
• Keep hardware away from salt, sand, dirt, rain.

2. Ongoing maintenance.

While checking your equipment before each use is important, we also require this ongoing maintenance to ensure your equipment stays safe.

• We recommend replacing your bungee every 12 months or as soon as damage may occur.

If you ever question any aspect of safety of your products, or experience any damages or any issues, immediately discontinue use and do NOT risk your safety. At the end of the day, there are a multitude of situations that could arise from inconsistent checks and maintenance while up in the air, and we want you to remain as safe as possible.

Happy flying, and we are excited to see you on your new bungee!
